I am so sorry about the mold! What finally happened with mine was this:

I decided to keep anything that needed to stay COLD on the bottom shelves (like milk, other dairy, meat, etc.), and anything like condiments, relish, pickles on the top shelves.

The air comes up from the bottom and moves to the top.

Freezer drawer gets out of line easily, so I became obsessed with not only checking the refrigerator doors EVERY time I walked past, but pulling up on the handle of the freezer every time I opened it to make sure it was level.

That seemed to work for about a year. Then the refrigerator icemaker stopped working again (year 2). After two new service calls with no luck, I was told by Lowes that if the third call didn't fix it, they would replace/refund it. My glee was short-lived however, when a follow-up call after service call 3 informed me that any service call/work performed within 30 days of another was considered THE SAME SERVICE CALL!!??

(I don't think they had all my service call records logged in either)

I finally contacted the better business bureau (in North Carolina, if memory serves..wherever their headquarters is) and lodged a complaint against Lowes. Within TWO WEEKS, I had a check in my hand for full reimbursement of the refrigerator less the extended warranty. Hallelaujah!

I now have a Maytag side-by-side that freezes anything solid on the fridge side that sits next to the freezer wall on the top shelf.

..sigh.. I give up.

Bought a stainless steel french door Frigidaire Gallery in January of 2011 from Lowes. Have had nothing but problems since.

Multiple service calls where I have to *** from work, icemakers are junk, fresh food compartment will not stay cold enough to keep food safe, doors are not self-closing and the advertised alarm does not go off when one is left ajar, freezer door doesn't seal properly.

Electrolux will not return. Says I don't have enough bad diagnostics. Repair technicians are unable to fix. One told me it "feels cold" and refused to pull out a thermometer to test...Another even suggested I not use the back of the shelves!

(WTH?) Major design flaws. Electrolux acts like it's an isolated case but the internet is full of stories exactly like mine. Lowes has not been very proactive. Lowes even rejected my negative review/warning on their website because I stated that they were little to no help in resolving this issue.

Last Frigidaire fridge - 2 compressors went out in less than 6 years. I will NEVER again give them any money.

Monetary Loss: $2000.

Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Ice maker is spewing ice with mold after several calls and then lowes magically lost our receipt and records of our extended warranty agreement. Bill ***!

Piece of *** fridge!!!! So disappointed I did a lot of research before buying in 2011. Mold in the ice!!! I'm pregnant and been depending on the ice cold water!

Got sick a month ago and haven't fully recovered... I'm sure it's related to my massive intake of ice water with a side of MOLD!!!

I am in west Virginia. My year is up the 15th of this month. I am seriously considering going to the attorney general before then.

I haven't had problems speaking to people, just problems getting them to actually DO something--Starting with Lowes service advantage.

Update - Frigidaire denied my return claim. Insisted on the service call being completed.

More time off from work as a result. A week and a half later, same problems as before. Fresh food compartment temperature still varies widely. Service technicians along with Frigidaire's tech department don't even acknowledge or try to fix anymore.

It's just ignored as an afterthought. Haven't contacted Chris Polk on this issue because he stopped corresponding with me on my last fridge after the initial email asking for my name, address, model number, etc.
