Never again!

I will never buy Electrolux Icon Kitchen appliances again. I tell everyone who will listen. The stuff is junk. Within the first year of having the oven and dishwasher, we had to have them repaired several times. Now 7 years later, and we have to replace the dishwasher because Electrolux doesn't have a replacement rack. The current rack rusted out. The dishes don't stand up and we can't get a replacement. Frustrating. Our stove also never worked correctly. When turning the burners on, there is a big puff of fire. Someday, one of us will get burned from this problem. The gas company can't fix it and that is not for a lack of trying. Terrible customer service and *** appliances!!!

Electrolux Customer Care Review from Chandigarh, Chandigarh

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought an electrolux refrigerator in August. I usually check everything while buying a product but that day I did not check the lock. While a refrigerator lock is probably not that important, what happened in the next 10 months tells how little attention electrolux gives to customer service. I complaint about the lock after 1-2 weeks of buying. I got an sms that call has been allotted to an engineer but no one came. This happened 2-3 times. I again raised a complaint and finally after almost 1 month, an engineer came. He just straightened the rod of lock and for the moment, it began to work. 2-3 days later, it stopped working. Again I complained. Same process, no response for 2 months. Finally engineer comes, does the same thing. This time I try it a couple of times and show him that it doesnt work. He says lock will be replaced and needs to be ordered. Next 5 months no response. Only after lots of emails, an engineer came while I was away asking keys from neighbour, he repaired it like previous couple of times and left with my call completed. Really disappointed, I asked them to pick up the *** fridge without giving any refund so I can buy a better fridge but still no response after 2 weeks. So finally I decide to dump the fridge in a junkyard and opt for a legal complaint against them. My advice to everyone, never buy an electrolux product. Spending a few bucks extra is always worth it.

Electrolux Refrigerator Review from Abbotsford, British Columbia

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We have a fridge that is under extended warranty and we have not been able to use for a month because the parts are coming from Mexico. This is our 3 Rd fridge in six years.

They have had to be replaced every two years because they quit working.

Dishwashers control panel has never worked properly and stove had been replace twice and warranty work done on that. I would never ever buy an Electrolux product ever again.

I think I saw your parts this weekend. They were in a backpack carried by an illegal on his way up north to you. Should arrive in a few weeks.

No customer service

We purchase Electrolux thru Sears in Canada. There was a special on when we purchase them thru Electolux- 3 yrs on parts on each of the appliances. I registered all of the appliances like I was suppose to. We've had nothing but problems on our dishwasher and fridge. Our dishwasher has had the motor and control board replaced within 6 months. I have just called Electolux yet again as the dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes yet again. They now have no record of our extended warranty!!!! And they have records since May of this year!!! Can anyone actually get through to a real person that is able to have any knowledge what so ever!

Electrolux - inferior quality - no support

It is infuriating that a company does not stand behind their product. The interior of my Electrolux refrigerator is falling apart. The plastic supports are cracked and broken, making the drawers sit askew. I have spoken to customer service twice... no help. When requesting to speak to a supervisor, I was kept on hold for lengthy amount of time... only to be told that no supervisor would come to the phone. No supervisor will come to the phone??? Customer service???

Review in Appliances and Electronics category from North Naples, Florida

I don't even know how electrolux is still in business! The worst company, the worst customer service and last but not least, the worst appliances in the world! You sell junk, you steal money from the consumer, who doesn't know that your product is garbage and then do nothing. But i'm here to tell you that it is my duty to let the world know and as i already read, many have made comments to prove that your products should not even exist, it's trash and you all know it! You can't even stand behind your product, if you did, you would be out of business, as you should, because it's all junk! As far as i am concerned, this company is no better that a thief or robber, it STEALS money from individuals who in good faith, purchase your product assuming that the product will work and/or the company will stand behind it! But, this company is a company of cowards and thieves!! They can't stand behind it because they know it's trash!! So here is my question to ELECTROLUX...why do you thieves continue to produces more garbage and continue to steal consumers money for products that you will not even stand behind because you know it's the worst product in the world! Shame on you, just a bunch of thieves!!

If My fridge and diwhwasher were not so expensive I would laugh!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased Electrolux fridge, dishwasher, oven and microwave for my new kitchen remodel. I can't even begin to detail the level of poor quality.

My fridge doesn't make water or ice, The shelves in the freezer have all snapped off and the freezer never gets cold enough for ice cream. It leeks water. The dishwasher has all the lights blinking with a drain valve error and the oven is such a poor design that I have to flip the racks over to cook anything otherwise the food gets stuck to the lip on the rack.

I had my 3rd repairman out today and was told that none of the items are worth fixing. I hope there is a class action lawsuit soon because I am livid.

New Dishwaher Stopped Working

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Had new dishwasher installed on Sept. 8th ran 6 cycles and it stopped working Sept.

29th. We called Electrolux and they reccommended a repair service. Service person (recommended by Electrolux) stated that the main washer motor failed. I requested that the dishwasher be replaced which according to the dealer Interstate Kitchen Supply (Cleveland Ohio) Electrolux would not do.

The motor is on back order and will not be delivered until Oct. 16th. Service and response is terrible, get the impression Electrolux or Interstate could care less!

Very concerned that this will not be the only problem with this appliance. I would also if you are in the Cleveland area avoid Interstate Kitchen Supply they are of no help.

You are correct in your impression that Electrolux couldn't care less. They really don't.

There aren't that many different appliance manufacturers to choose from and thus they know you have to buy from someone. They are all unresponsive when one of their poorly-made products fails. It is what it is.

Thus, it is always best to buy the cheapest, no frill machine so that when it breaks you can just pitch it and buy another. Wasting money on one with all the bells and whistles is crazy.

Electrolux Front Load Dryer Review from Davisburg, Michigan

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Nine-month-old Electrolux front-load dryer was stuck on pause and not usable. I called Electrolux for warranty service and it took FOUR calls from me and ONE from my husband before they finally found somebody who will service Electrolux warranty repairs in our area (Clarkston)! If I waited to be contacted by somebody from Electrolux as instructed by a couple of the service reps I spoke with (the two who didn't give a *** since it wasn't THEM being extremely inconvenienced!) I would still be waiting! What's REALLY sad is my case was escalated on the fourth day when I called to check the status of when I could expect somebody to come out. I thought when something is escalated that meant it would speed things up; I had no idea at that time it would still be an additional three calls to Electrolux and another 13 days before our dryer was serviced! At least the repairman was extremely pleasant and informative, and he was able to get my dryer running so I can use it until a part he had to order arrives next week. I'm confident that had I not called Electrolux myself every couple of days to check the status of our issue, and instead listened to their reps who told me to wait for somebody to contact me, I'd still be waiting for that call! I've been to the laundromat three times (what a treat THAT is!) and I spent $95.00 and seven hours of my life for the privilege!!! I'll never buy another Electrolux product. I'm extremely disappointed in their customer service. I've had other major-brand appliances that needed service while still under warranty and I've never waited longer than two to three days, so 17 days waiting for somebody to service our Electrolux is totally unacceptable, and Electrolux senior management should be embarrassed that this is how they treat their customers.

Electrolux invection range and cleaning products for stainless steel racks

#1. Stainless steel racks must be removed before cleaning. I bought $29.00 of Electrolux stainless steel rack cleaning products. They were uselsss. Even with steel wool, could not remove baked on debris with Electrolux's "Stainless steel cleaner." Asked for refund. No refunds given for cleaning products. #2. Also, they state that their "customer satisfaction survey" is brief. IT IS NOT BRIEF. Very long. #3. Follwing directions in owners manual, I tried to "clean oven." Step one, I removed racks. Continued to get a "remove racks signal." Following instructions, turned off breaker, etc. Flashing signal, "remove racks" was not removed. "Self-cleaning" feature did not work. Would never buy an Electrolux product of any kind in the future. Expensive and problem-prone.

We need a Class Action

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have never dealt with a worst company that Electrolux. They sell faulty products and then string you out till your warranty has expired. We bought the refrigerator that everyone is complaining about. They do not step up and stand behind their product. Their customer service or "customer care" department is not helpful they just read the script they are given. I asked to talk to someone else and she simply said she could not do that. I am hoping some law firm sees this and starts a class action. What can we as consumers do to make sure this stops.

Holes burned through 5 month old washing machine

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
5 month old washing machine making terrible noise and drum not spinning. Called once and had service set up. Not only was the time incorrect, but a completely different company came out than what I was told. Upon looking at the unit, the technician found that the pulley had come loose allowing the belt to BURN HOLES through the back of the drum. The unit was actually leaking water out the back without us knowing. Needs the pulley, belt, bolt, drum, and basket all replaced. Total cost of $880. So you would think they would just replace the 5 year old unit. Called customer service back, and nope, they are going to do the the repair. Talked to corporate customer service and they said they will not replace anything that can be repaired. When I told them I would be posting my experience on Social Media and review sites, they said, "we don't care". Now I have to wait 2 weeks for them to get the parts to the technician and be stuck with my "unusable" expensive 5 month old washing machine. I will never purchase this brand again based on their lack of customer service.

Unreliable

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have over $12,000 of Electrolux appliances in my kitchen - Icon freezer and refrigerator; Icon dishwasher; and Icon dual fuel, 48 inch range/dual oven. The only thing that has not needed repair in seven years is the dishwasher. The refrigerator needed a control board at the young age of two years. The stove was has been replaced twice (problems with igniters and poorly trained technicians), and most recently I had to replace the oven control board of the oven, which I did myself to avoid the poor tech experience and severe hit to the wallet already sustained in the past. The insult to injury is when the control knobs on the stove began to "melt" as their lining (where temps and function are printed) began to wrinkle. Electrolux, even after our long history of problems and telling them about the oven control board, offered the two knobs (which are plastic) for $70.00 - and that is after a 30% discount. So they wanted me to pay 70.00 to make their cheap stove look good - I passed and will tell our guests about our experience when they wonder why the knobs on such an expensive stove are "melted" - I have had used 400.00 stoves throughout my life and the knobs never melted. I understand that warranties expire and hence was not upset about 6 year-old (because the stove was replaced twice in the first year) electronic board going bad. But Electrolux, especially after all the problems, should have replaced these plastic knobs for a much reasonable price - if not for free. After I took the stove apart to replace the electronic control board, I was disappointed to see how poorly built and designed this "top of the line product" is. I had to improve on the spillage protection, the original renders the electronics easy targets for spills; wiring was not marked and disorganized - not what you expect to see at this price range.

Followed instructions to the tee have replaced front rubber seal at over 100.00$$ after they said it needed to be cleaned and dried after use , this being told after the purchase not before. New seal fixed problem for a short while and odor returned. We leave a fan blowing into the machine 24/7/365 have run Clorox tub cleaner through machine several times all to no avail. Electrolux will not even discuss the problem just keep saying to change the seal

Their service under warranty is non existent

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have a brand new built in compactor that worked for two days. I tried to contact customer service for warranty repair and after many mishaps and poor communication from Electrolux to repair services a service call was scheduled. They never showed. Three more service calls were scheduled. No one shows. The service repair companies claim they do not have a work order from Electrolux. Electrolux claims they have issued one. Meanwhile I am without a working appliance and already lost three months of warrant in this debacle. Steer clear until they get their act together! Unless of course, you can repair your own appliances.
