We purchased an Electrolux Icon Electric Stovetop February 2012. This stovetop was highly recommended by the Consumer Report Magazine.

So far, I have had to have the brand new appliance serviced 4 times due to faulty control dials. The dials will either not turn on the burner, or they will not turn off a hot burner. The only way to not have the house burn down in the second case is go to the circuit breaker and pull the circuit to the stovetop.

Currently, the stovetop is not working and I am unable to cook. This was interesting for Thanksgiving!!! I almost wish I had my 25 year old JennAir back. Atleast I knew that 3 of the 4 burners would work on that!! Save yourself a headache...DO NOT PURCHASE AN ELECTROLUX ICON ELECTRIC STOVETOP

Monetary Loss: $1400.
